Move Order approval & Notification to Subinventory Planners

We will see How to setup Move Order Approval process in OracleApps and also we will explore a way to send a notification to a list of planners who are associated with a specific subinventory.

Define Item Planner in 'Planners' window. In this example, I am using J. Smith as Item Planner.

 Create an item 'GoldRing' and asociate teh Planner 'J. Smith' as shown below under 'General Planning' Tab.

Create the approval setup in Organization Parameters window as shown below. Make sure that ‘Move Order Timeout Period’ and ‘Move Order Timeout Action’ parameters are set as per your requirement.

As per above setup, If Move Order is not approved by Item Planner in 1 day, it gets approved automatically.

Move Order status changed to ‘Pending Approval’ and a notification goes to Item planner.

Logged in as MFG user which is associated with ‘Smith, Mr. Jonathan’ who is Item Planner in this scenario.

 Click on the Notification to view and approve.

Approved the Move Order and the status of the Move Order changes automatically to 'Approved' as shown below.

Now we extend the current scenario such that every time the material comes in or moves out of a specific source subinventory through Move Order process a notification need to be sent to list of subinventory planners associated with that specific subinventory.

Create an Approval List as shown below such that whenever a move order gets approved, a notification will be sent to Brown and Tucker.

Associate the Approval List to ‘Stores’ subinventory.

Create a Move Order and Clikc on Approve button. Move Order goes to ‘Pending Approval’ status

Login with Item Planner userid and approve the MO.

Move Order got approved.

Login with Tucker userid who is part of subinventory planner list associated with 'Stores' subinventory.

A notification could be shown as below :
